The key to firefly photography is placing the camera somewhere you think they’ll be active & hoping that a few bugs pass by at close-range. Easier said than done. It seems like everywhere you are, they’re not!
That being said, I celebrated my a$$ off after seeing a particularly ambitious firefly had passed right in front of the lens - adding a REALLY nice touch to a scene already filled with thousands of tiny flashes.
