Biking past, stopped dead to photograph the prolific display of swamp rose mallow at Lagoon Picnic Area, the other day. Couldn’t recall seeing such a horde locally & a few days later, I found out the reason – Cleveland Metroparks own Jen Brumfield had been hard at work removing invasive plant species from this area. JB is an absolute legend of a human being & conservationist – knowledgeable, charismatic, yet unafraid to roll up the sleeves for the greater good of the planet & all who inhabit it.
