Despite shooting many larger waves today on a treacherous Lake Erie, this talon-shaped one was my favorite. Water in motion seems to never take the same form twice & that unpredictability makes it so exciting to shoot. Piled on shore were tons of ice shards, and they would fling up on my back every time a big wave would hit. The wind gusts today were and continue to be the strongest sustained in recent memory around here...please be safe out there!
