Received a sad bit of news yesterday. Most west-siders are probably familiar with the stately cottonwood smack dab on the beach at Huntington Reservation, Bay Village
- facing east. Seems that old friend has kicked the bucket. It withstood a lightning strike earlier this year, and after further inspection, was discovered to have significant trunk damage. It's been leaning toward the beach for years & Cleveland Metroparks opted to remove it.

Couldn't help but feel a little melancholy at this news, and it seemed a photo tribute was in line. Upon reflection, It was cool to see how the photos that I've taken of it seemingly matured along with the tree itself.
